The garden design process: an overview

The first stage of the process is the free initial consultation for clients in Hampshire, Berkshire or Wiltshire. I will come over to meet you, hear your ideas, and view your garden. This meeting provides me with the information I need to write a Project Brief for your garden that will contain an estimate for approximate costs and a timescale for the project.
The Project Brief will be written after the initial meeting and posted to you for your consideration. If you decide that you want to go ahead with the project then sign the contract included with the Project Brief and return it.
When I receive your signed contract I will come back and survey your site, taking measurements, photos and notes about what is already there so I can draw a site plan. I will make two concept design drawings to show how the garden could look. These concepts will be presented to you at a meeting so you can comment on them with your ideas and choose the concept design you prefer.
I will produce a final concept drawing incorporating the original concept with the comments from the last meeting. When you have seen the final concept drawing and are happy with it, production of a final plan with the associated technical drawings and planting design drawings that will allow a landscaper and builder to construct the garden will begin.
The production of the final plans will only take place when you are happy with the design and another meeting may take place before this stage happens. Although I do not build gardens I will happily meet with and discuss the designs with your building contractors.
If you only require planting design drawings I am happy to help with this aspect of design alone.

Stop dreaming about your ideal garden and make it a reality!
